Dental Implants

If a root canal cannot save your natural tooth, an extraction and implant may be necessary.

This procedure requires the affected tooth to be extracted and an implant made from a metal “root” and a crown to replace the tooth. This is a surgical procedure and involves placing the implant into the jawbone and allowing healing before having a crown created to cover the implant. For a successful implant, the patient must have good oral health.

An implant will restore the natural appearance of teeth and does not require any treatment of the neighboring teeth.

We refer to periodontists and oral surgeons to place the implant fixture. Once placed, the dentists at our office will place the crown on the implant.
