Meet Our Dentists
John G. Hartmann, DDS
Dr. Hartmann received his Bachelors degree with highest honors from Elmhurst College majoring in Biology. From there he went to dental school at Loyola University and graduated in 1980.
He received additional training in a general practice residency program also at Loyola Medical Center. This program provided advanced training in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry as well as anesthesiology and treating medically and mentally compromised patients. He has also had experience treating geriatric patients and was the attending dentist at several nursing homes.
Dr. Hartmann has a wife and three adult children. His interests include fishing, hunting, boating and scuba diving and enjoys all forms of outdoor activities.
James V. Hudson, DDS
Dr. James Hudson received his Bachelors degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 1976. He then attended Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, graduating in 1980.
Dr. Hudson has been practicing full-time clinical dentistry for 35 years and is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. In addition, he is ranked as a top Chicago dentist in Checkbook Magazine.
Dr. Hudson is married to wife, Rosa, and has five children: James, Mike, Elizabeth, Brigid and Catherine. He is also active in many sports, enjoys golf, exercise and outdoor activities.
James W. Griesbach, DDS
Dr. Griesbach received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University of Chicago, Illinois in 1978. He then attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, from which he graduated in 1982.
Following dental school, he went on to complete a General Practice Residency in advanced dental and medical studies at Loyola University Medical center. From 1983 to 1985 he was an associate professor of clinical research at Loyola University Dental School. In addition to the private practice of general dentistry, Dr. Griesbach serves as a consultant for the dental insurance industry.
Christopher Zwiercan, DDS
Dr. Zwiercan provides comprehensive and cosmetic dental treatment to all of his patients. Whether it’s a small filling on a back tooth or a full set of veneers, he takes pride in his attention to detail to achieve an esthetic and functional result for every procedure. As the techniques and materials available to dentists have continued to evolve, Dr. Zwiercan has stayed current by pursuing continuing education with hands-on programs, such as the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum and the Dawson Academy.
Dr. Zwiercan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago: College of Dentistry. While at UIC, Dr. Zwiercan honed his craft and was awarded the “Dr. Gerson Gould and Mr. Sol H. Gould Memorial Scholarship” in honor of clinical and academic excellence. Outside of private practice, Dr. Zwiercan devoted the last 7 years to his Alma Mater as a Clinical Assistant Professor where he shared his wisdom and experience to give real-world context to the principles the students learn in the classroom and the clinic.
As a fitness- and Chicago sports- enthusiast, Dr. Zwiercan is an active member of the Academy of Sports Dentistry and has forged relationships with some of the city’s professional sports teams. He has served as an on-call dentist for the Chicago Bulls and is particularly honored to be recognized as an official team dentist for the Chicago Fire professional soccer team.
Dr. Zwiercan currently lives in the southwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife, Nicole, who is a Registered Dental Hygienist, former Mrs. Illinois, and reigning Mrs. USA Universe 2018. Together, they love taking their 4-year-old son, Cristiano, and 1- year-old daughter, Ashlynn, on adventures throughout the city and surrounding Chicagoland area, especially as they begin to strategize relocating to the western suburbs. With Ashlynn’s diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy in March of 2018, the Zwiercans have become champions for children and adults with different needs and have embraced opportunities to collaborate with Special Olympics Illinois as well as the Center for Independence through Conductive Education. In their spare time, Chris and Nicole enjoy going on date nights to the Joffrey Ballet, trying new restaurants, attending charity events, volunteering their time together in the community, or just relaxing at home with a scary movie.
